So much of myself is filtered. Through years of careful training, I have learned that everything must be presented with varnish, a shiny coat of polish that always gives the right impression. Emotions are kept in check. Words are carefully chosen for the benefit of the receiving ear. Politeness is mandatory.
Oh I’m good. I interview well for jobs. Girls take me home to their mothers. Cats and gay men are even impressed with my meticulous grooming.
The facts aren’t important. I’m a guy. Somewhere in California. Early 30’s. A knowledge worker. A white-collar email pusher with people skills. Asian decent.
Here I am. Throwing caution to the wind and trusting the world wide web to answer my voice.
